About Maggie McGarry's
Irish natives Mick Graham and Mairéad (pronounced “Mawr-ade”) McGarry opened Maggie McGarry’s in August 2006 with the intent of creating an authentic and fun Irish pub experience in the heart of North Beach. Featuring one of the best bar stages in San Francisco, the space has previously been home to some of San Francisco’s most famous landmarks including “Lost & Found”, “The Coffee Gallery”, and “Mrs. Smith’s Tearoom”. Janis Joplin, The Doors, Robert Plant, Grace Slick, and The Chieftains have all performed at Maggie’s in its previous incarnations. Rumor has it that the Sex Pistols were once turned away at the door. Today, the music lives on and some of the best local and national party bands can be found at Maggie’s each and every weekend. And, the entertainment is nearly always free!
Join us for awesome bands on our legendary stage. We regularly book fun and talented acts that jam your favorite songs. Bring your friends, order some drinks, and rock the night away!
If you’re a soccer fan, we’re the pub for you! On most game-day weekends we open [very] early so you never miss the action of your favorite teams. Check our schedule and set your alarms!
